Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe

Another month, another mid-month checkin, talking about all the things I’m currently loving/hating/doing and of course, sharing my monthly playlist!

March is my hubby’s birthday month and also happens to be the month he and I started dating in high school … on St Patrick’s Day … many, many, maaaaaany years ago. It holds special memories for me and usually gives us poor, frozen Canadians the first tastes of spring sunshine … not this year … but the potential is there.

Currently Reading: Reading – Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber and Listening on Audiobook – Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon. Needed some lighter fiction after three heavy adult fantasies – The City of Brass, The Kingdom of Copper and The Priory of the Orange Tree … which I read back to back to back!

Currently Loving: Sparkly Stickers, New Midline Highlighters and filling up my new Pipsticks planner.

Currently Watching: My yearly rewatch of one of my ultimate favourite shows – One Day at a Time. I just love the heck out of this show … and, of course, there is my love affair with the geeky, beefy Schneider. Which is totally allowed because my hubby actually looks a lot like him … it’s totally fine.

Currently Making: The bestest, yummiest gluten-free, vegan chocolate chip cookies … I think I may have finally mastered the recipe!! Also baking up some apple crisps and muffins. Baking + Audiobooks is my fav relaxation method.

Currently Listening: March is a weird in-between time here and my music tastes take an odd turn – hence this mashup of Alternative, Indie, Singer/Songwriter genres. Enjoy!
