My December book recommendation is for all those out there seeking some light, escapist, food-filled, romance-light, entertaining Christmas reading. I enjoyed the heck outta The Holiday Swap, which had me constantly hungry over all the glorious descriptions of food. Playing out just like a Hallmark Christmas movie – who doesn’t love these? – this story brings just the right balance of saccharine happiness, suspension of belief machinations, and solidly enjoyable characters. While definitely low on the steam factor (I know, I know – this will be a drawback for many of you), I, for one, found it refreshing to see time dedicated to developing a plot over shock factor smut for a change. Cozy and sweet with two utterly adorable romances to root for, go forth and bake up a batch of cookies and enjoy! 

I’m so happy to see this as a BOTM December book pick as well, it really deserves lots of love!
