“Write It Down”

Celebrating the creative process of the written word, OwlCrate Jr.’s “Write It Down” box brought us all the joyous goodies we need to inspire and craft our next literary masterpiece! Here’s what was included:

A gorgeous pin set featuring a mini typewriter and classic pencil, designed by Stacey McEvoy Caunt (@stacey.mcevoy.caunt). This is such a delightful set of pins with bright, bold colours that will look awesome on our jean jackets this spring! 

Up your vocabulary game with this set of 100 Great Words flashcards from Eeboo. My daughter was especially thrilled to receive this item as she enjoys writing stories and is always looking to enhance her literary vernacular. This women founded, women run company makes such awesome, sustainable products for kids – from stationery items to the best puzzles to games and more! I’m always super happy when OwlCrate Jr includes an item from Eeboo! 

We can’t write down our next great story (or ideas for it) without a dedicated notebook! This beautiful hardcover notebook features amazing illustrations on the front cover, back cover and spine – all designed by @stephstillwell – and features the quote from Juan Roman Jimenez “If they give you ruled paper, write the other way!”. This lovely journal comes with colourful endpapers, a navy blue ribbon to mark your place, and a lay-flat spine – truly a deluxe journal!

Keep all your pencils, highlighters, pens, erasers – whatever you need! – handy with this grab and go zippered pencil case designed by Janine Lecour (@janinelecour). I love that this pencil pouch is soft-sided so it will easily fit in any backpack or tote. The durable handle can be looped onto your backpack or just used as a handle for an easy take-along on your next adventure outdoors! 

Put all your writing goodies – along with a few good reads for inspiration – in your new felt, drawstring Diary of a Wimpy Kid backpack! A set of stickers featuring Rowley Jefferson’s upcoming new release were also included with the backpack from @abramsbooks. 

Our cute tiger monthly sticker was designed by @hulloitslydia. I love the bold, bright colours of this sticker – super spring vibes! 

The book pick for February is one that I’m highly anticipating this year: The In-Between by Rebecca K.S Ansari, which came with a signed bookplate by the author, an author letter, and a gorgeous OwlCrate Jr exclusive cover! This slightly spooky, mystery/contemporary story about family and friendship and secrets sounds right up my alley.
