The theme for February’s OwlCrate box was Magic Unleashed, featuring lots of fun goodies from books with powerful magical themes … here’s what was inside:

Starting in February, OwlCrate has released the first of a four, 2021, book tin collection created by Forensics and Flowers, inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic. The first book tin features Red London and is a larger, book-size tin, which will look great on our bookshelves, while holding lots of bookish swag! 

I’m always incredibly excited to get bath products from The Soap Librarian. Included in this month’s box was a jar of bath salts inspired by We Hunt the Flame – with scents of Rose, Lavender, Chamomile, Lemongrass, Hibiscus, and Orange Peel. It’s a really unique, calming and fresh scent that I’ve enjoyed adding to my bath as a wind down at the end of the day. (You can also use this as a foot soak before your next at home pedicure if you aren’t into baths.)

Next up is this gothic inspired enamel keychain designed by Lively Ghosts based on the fictional coffee shop – Poison Kitchen – from Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

An item I’ve never gotten in an OwlCrate box before is this hairbrush, with artwork on the back of the brush inspired by Star Daughter – an OwlCrate book pick from last year! The artwork was designed by Team OwlCrate. 

By Chenelle designed this pleather zipper pouch featuring a quote from Legendborn: “Fight, take risks, follow your heart.” If you haven’t picked up this immersive fantasy, I highly recommend doing so! 

February’s beautiful monthly enamel pin, inspired by the monthly book pick, was designed by Icey Designs. Hafsah Faizal’s design company will be designing all the monthly enamel pins for 2021 and I am loving her creations so far! 

February’s book pick was one I was highly anticipating – The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna – which came signed, with an author letter, exclusive cover, and exclusive foiling on the hardback! This is a truly stunning special edition of this book!
