Unboxing: OwlCrate August 2020

“Written In The Stars”

OwlCrate August 2020 Unboxing

After another month of agonizing mail delays, this month’s OwlCrate finally made it me and I am so in love with all the celestial, star-studded wonder of this box! Here’s what was inside:

The Starless Sea inspired booksleeve, with artwork from Quirky Cup Collective! I have been drooling over the glorious sun and moon cups from this amazing shop for months now, but they are always sold out!! I am beyond thrilled to have some of Sydonie’s amazing celestial artwork, and the fact that the quote is from The Starless Sea – a favourite read of mine – is just icing on the cake 🙂

Star shaped glass bottle with metal pushpins. I am always on the hunt for anything star shaped to add to my home to fuel my obsession with stars – this little jar is going to look awesome on my desk … just deciding if I want to replace the pins with LED twinkle lights for a full sparkle experience …

Strange the Dreamer silk bandana. If I HAD to pick an absolute favourite YA, it would be Strange the Dreamer – but I have virtually no bookish merch from the fandom! So whenever an item arrives, I get a wee bit overexcited 🙂 This lovely, deep blue bandana can be worn as a neckerchief, headband (my favourite), attached to your purse/backpack/luggage for stylish flare, twisted into a necklace or bracelet, or even just gently ironed and use it as a wall hanging – in other words, so!many!options!

A Star Pen!! So, again, anything star shaped is going to be adored by me – and if you know me, you’ve heard me rave about my stationery addiction and love of pens … this item is win-win-win for me.

An Aurora Rising inspired clipboard with artwork by Daphna Sebbane. While I haven’t read Aurora Rising, this lovely little clipboard is a gorgeous deep purple, with beautiful design that I can certainly appreciate. And the way it matches the star pen from this box? *chef’s kiss*

The monthly enamel pin was designed by Band of Weirdos (can I just say how much I love that name :D). It is so sparkly and lovely!

The August book pick was Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar and came with an absolutely gorgeous exclusive cover (honestly my favourite OwlCrate has done), beautiful deep purple sprayed edges, signed by the author, and with an author letter! D-E-L-U-X-E!

The August box was absolutely amazing, delivering the star-filled box of my dreams … ok, maybe I’m getting carried away, but this box was seriously incredible. Continuing to jam so much value, quality items, and deluxe special editions into their boxes… OwlCrate is a fantastic company with an amazing group of people.
