In a world that increasingly undervalues creativity, I am always so happy when OwlCrate Jr. delivers fun activities and products that prompts kids to use their individual creativities and perspectives! Here is a look inside July’s Creativity Conquers All box:

After June’s box delivered one of my favourite items ever included, the amazing literary tin suitcase, OwlCrate Jr. delivers me another goodie to match it – this gorgeous canvas art supply roll-up featuring official artwork from the amazing graphic novel Nightlights by Lorena Alvarez. I L-O-V-E this graphic novel series, having been blown away by Alvarez’s expression of bold colours. This is such an incredible item! OwlCrate Jr. continues to outdo themselves!!

What is creativity without a little painting? Painting is so therapeutic … even though I am absolutely rubbish at it! Included this month is a tin of high-pigment water-colour paints and a water reservoir paintbrush in a keepsake box, inspired by the picture book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds. Artwork designed by @heatherslettering.

Always the professionals, OwlCrate Jr. included a pad of water-colour paper so you or your little artists can get right to work! This pad features one of my favourite creativity quotes from Maya Angelou and was designed by @inkandwonder.

This adorable tassel bookmark was designed by @bookofkellz and features a quote from Inkheart: “Writing stories is a kind of magic too.” A great addition to this box that reminds us creativity comes in many forms.

I love washi tape. Ok, I’m a wee bit obsessed – you can never ever have too much! I love this Pattern Party washi tape from @aclaussdesign. I know my daughter will have fun decorating up her many journals and of course, her reading planner from the December “Winged Beasts” box.

This month’s collectible sticker was designed by @lunartcy.

Processed with Focos

Time for the book! July’s book pick is one I’m super excited for – Kiki Kallira Breaks A Kingdom by Sangu Mandanna. This Indian mythology fantasy adventure sounds fantastic and this exclusive edition came with a signed bookplate and letter from the author!

If you missed out on this fantastic box, make sure to head over to owlcrate.com and grab one now! Keep your littles busy with some screen-free time in the weeks before school starts again.

You can also sign up now for August’s “Moonlight & Stardust” box. Remember to use my code TALES15 to save 15% off your first box!
