Well, the mail lost my March box but happily OwlCrate was kind enough to send me a replacement! So it may be May, but better late than never!! Let’s get into it …

I am always excited to receive enamel pin sets from OwlCrate Jr.! The designs are often so bright and cheerful and from fandoms that just make me happy! This month, every box included an Ultimate High Five pin set designed by @samdrawson. This is a really neat set because you can pin both pins on your jacket/backpack etc, OR you can give one half away to a BFF, just like a BFF necklace! Super cool!

I love stickers, I love scratch tickets, and I love rainbows, so these Rainbow Friends Scratch Paper Stickers from Eeboo are right up my alley. When my daughter was a little younger she was absolutely enamoured with these sets and would spend hours scratching away. Pro Tip: scratch on an old plastic placemat or cutting board to collect all those little black flecks, they can be a nightmare to clean up afterwards!

Next up are these City of Ghosts inspired magnetic picture frames, designed by @lettersbygeneva. The friendship between Cassidy Blake and Jacob is one of my literary favs in a middle grade series and this is a fun way to add a little bookish fun to your locker at school!

For the slime/putty obsessed generation, but the weary mess-worried parents who don’t like cleaning putty and slime off tiles, carpets, and clothes … let me introduce you to Playfoam! Playfoam is a non sticky putty-like substance that feels exactly like a rice krispie marshmallow square … minus the sticky part of course! It’s bendable, moldable, and super fun to play with and as an added bonus each little play pod includes a surprise Fantasy Friend hidden inside … we got a Unicorn!

Keep in touch with friends who have moved away or simply make your friend smile by sending along a postcard! This set of 8 Bookish Pal Postcards were inspired by various classic literary friends from Charlotte’s Web (this quote always ALWAYS makes me cry) to Anne of Green Gables, these beautiful art prints also look lovely framed and hung on the wall. Designed by @kamilla.writes.letters.

March delivered the third instalment in the 2022 trading character card set, designed by Andrew Kolb.

Finally, the book pick for March was …. The School for Whatnots by Margaret Peterson Haddix! This lovely OwlCrate Jr. edition came with an exclusive cover, beautiful reversible dust jacket artwork by @sydsketched, and an author signature book plate and letter to readers!
